Best paper award at ITS World Congress
Congratulations to PhD candidate Surabhi Gupta and her supervisors Dr Maria Vasardani, Professor Stephan Winter and Dr Bharat Lohani (IIT Kanpur) on winning the best paper award at the forthcoming Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) World Congress for her paper "Scaling social rules to multi-party traffic negotiations".

Surabhi's paper simulates negotiations for right of way between pedestrians and autonomous (driverless) vehicles at a heavily conflicted road intersection.
This year's ITS World Congress is on the theme 'Smart Mobility, Empowering Cities', 26th World Congress and will be held in Singapore from 21 to 25 October 2019.
