Organised by MSE's Advancement Office, the discussion aimed to highlight how Melbourne Connect will impact real-world innovation and gave  the audience an opportunity to learn more about the importance of the precinct for research, teaching and commercialisation.

Melbourne Connect will enable engineering and IT students, graduate researchers and academics to connect and collaborate with leading local and international organisations with a focus on digital futures.

Topics covered by the panel included:

  • What is Melbourne Connect?
  • Why is collaboration between industry, research, government and other elite thinkers important?
  • How will the space facilitate collaboration?
  • How will this project impact real-world problems?
  • Can innovation exist without cross-collaboration?
  • What potential projects would Melbourne Connect deliver?
