Cyberattacks and cybersecurity take centre stage - here's what got the media's attention this week from MSE.

  • In the wake of the recent cyberattack on Victorian hospitals leading to delayed surgeries and outpatient care, Dr Suelette Dreyfus shed light on the possible motivations behind the attack and the need for governments to do more to warn institutions of risks.   • In an ABC News interview, Dr Dreyfus spoke about the cyberattack on Australian National University, providing tips on what one can do to safeguard themselves. Details of the data breach report released by ANU are available via ZDNet.
  • Dr Dreyfus also participated in a panel discussion alongside other experts on decoding cybersecurity and its consequences. The podcast is available via Legal Practice Intelligence.
  • Dr Greg Adamson spoke about the cybersecurity challenges hospitals face due to high reliance on technology and limited resources in an interview with Channel 7.
