MSE in the news
Dairy powder, beer sniffing robots, predicting seizures and the law and AI - see the MSE stories gaining media attention this week.

Following last week's publication of a Pursuit article covering research conducted by Dr George Chen, Professor Sandra Kentish, Professor Sally Gras and University of Sydney's Dr Judy Lee, Dr Chen appeared on ABC Radio to discuss how a new pilot study demonstrates the potential to use a cheese by-product to concentrate skim milk, thereby reducing the energy required in milk powder production.
Also initially appearing on Pursuit, collaborative research between Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Science and MSE's Bryce Widdicombe and Dr Ranjith R Unnithan leading to development of a low cost and portable ‘electronic-nose’, or ‘e-nose’ that uses machine learning to quickly assess beer quality based on its aroma received coverage in Futurity.
