Modify an animal ethics AEC report

If the Animal Ethics Committee requires you to modify your annual report, follow these steps

After reviewing your annual or final report, the Animal Ethics Committee (AEC) may require you to update or modify the information for clarification. If this is the case, the AEC administrator will update your report status to ‘queried post-review’ and you will receive a Themis email advising you to access and modify it via your animal ethics (AE)annual report workbench in Themis.

To modify an AEC report:

  1. Log on to Themis using your UOM research self service responsibility.
  2. Select the 'animal ethics annual report workbench' function listed under the 'ethics' section. The 'AE annual report workbench' will display.
  3. Click ‘update’ to update the report. The 'AEC report' screen will display. The fields will be populated with the information you entered when you first submitted your report.
  4. Update the report as requested by the animal ethics administrator. If you are not ready to submit your report at this time, click on the save button. The report will remain on your workbench with a status of ‘in progress’ and you may return to complete it at a later date.
  5. Click ‘submit’ to resubmit the modified report for review. The status will be updated to ‘submitted’. Once a report is submitted it will no longer display on your workbench, however you may retrieve it using the search function.
