Complete the 'clinical trials' screen

If your research involves clinical trials, you must complete the clinical trials screen

If your research involves 'clinical trials involving control comparison group' or 'participation in a drug trial' on your research checklist, you must complete the clinical trials screen.

If you are conducting clinical trials and wish to publish in the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) member journals (including he Medical Journal of Australia, The Lancet and the New England Journal), you must register to those trials with an authorised registry. This must be prior to the enrolment of the first patient or participant.

To complete the clinical trials screen:

  1. Select whether or not the trial has been registered.
  2. Enter the registry details (if applicable).
  3. If the trial has not been registered, enter details as to why.
  4. Click ‘next’ to proceed to the next screen.

Responsible researchers will still have access to update registration details as required.
