RU OK Day 2021
R U OK Day is today: Thursday 9 September
And after another lockdown and a continued pressure filled year thanks to COVID-19 it’s more important than ever to check in with ourselves, our colleagues, family and friends.
Sometimes having that conversation isn’t easy so those behind R U OK Day have themed this year “How to Have the Conversation ‘R U OK’, and our EAP provider Benestar has developed a webinar on that theme.
Our own University resources also offer ways to support your health and wellbeing.
Benestar webinar - How to Have the Conversation ‘R U OK’
For many, approaching and having a conversation about mental health can be a daunting experience. There is still negative stigma surrounding mental health and mental health conditions, which places a barrier for many people speaking up in the workplace. This session enhances participants’ confidence in approaching a mental health conversation with their peers and how to speak up themselves if they need support in the workplace.
Register here for the webinar on Thursday 9 September at 10am-11am
