The truth about PDFs – make your content accessible
Did you know that publishing content in PDF format can exclude some students? Check out our short new video featuring PhD candidate in digital accessibility, John-Paul Cruz, to learn how you can make your content accessible for everyone in our community.
Helpful tips to ensure your subject is accessible to all students and staff:
- Publish your content directly into the LMS whenever possible.
- If you need to upload files, use Word or PowerPoint files instead of PDF.
- Utilise Readings Online when linking to web versions of readings, or ensure you’re linking to files confirmed as accessible by the Readings Online team.
